|Drayton Garden Village

Inland plc is pleased to announce that the Greater London Authority (GLA) has given the go ahead for Drayton Garden Village, a new community comprising 773 new homes, 55,000 sq ft of employment and community uses.

The London Borough of Hillingdon’s Central and South Planning Committee unanimously endorsed the application at its meeting on Tuesday 25 May, however all sites of strategic importance in London must be sanctioned by the Mayor. The London Plan, which sets out the Mayors policies for London, has set a target of 365 new homes to be built in Hillingdon each year to 2017.  Mayor of London Boris Johnson confirmed that he is content to allow Hillingdon Council to determine the application. 

The issue of the formal planning permission is now only subject to the signing of the legal agreements between Inland and Hillingdon Borough, the terms of which have already been agreed in principal between the parties.
